". . . our stories are what make the difference, and if we can tell them honestly we can hope to help each other. In the end, we have nothing to offer each other but our stories." ~ Emma Lou Thayne

Writer's Workshop: What I'd Change About ME

Mama's Losin' It

(CLICK on over if you'd like to participate!)

Your Assignment, Should You Choose To Accept

This week's assignments are:

1.) What would you change about your life if you could?
2.) I wish I would have...describe a time when you didn't take action, but later wished you would have.
3.) A collector you know.
4.) Photographs can turn a house into a home. Share a photograph that is not on your wall, but should be...if you weren't so lazy about actually putting it there.
5.) Write a list of 100 things you want to do before you turn 100. Otherwise known as a "bucket list".
(inspired by my feelings and the conference that hurt them when it rejected my admission after applying and spending at least 15 minutes on a bucket list for what now seems no good reason. I'm fine with it. Really.).

So I chose #1!!! Because there is SO MUCH!!! ;p

  1. I would have more confidence to follow my dreams, stand up for myself, and not be taken advantage of.
  2. I would have a healthy body (I'm NOT saying SKINNY here... just healthy. Yes, a better shape (YOU know... NOT ROUND...) would be nice, but just HEALTHY!! No pain in feet, legs, back, neck, head, shoulder, tail bone... Able to DO all the things I'd physically LIKE to do...
  3. I would have a healthy MIND... No bipolar, no anxiety, stress, depression, mania, insomnia, negativity... No worrying about everything or what everybody thinks, says or does...
  4. I would have a normal sleep pattern
  5. I would be a better mom
  6. I would be a better wife
  7. I would be a neat freak... which is the OPPOSITE of what I AM...
  8. I would play the piano
  9. I would sing again
  10. I would be a better friend
  11. I would have more patience

Thanks for sharing your list. I am definitely with you on wishing I could play the piano, and being a better wife. Blessings to you!

The great thing about your list is that they are things you actually CAN work on and change. Some more than others. But there's something you can do about everything on this list.

Not like other people who say stuff like, I would be taller. I would play Short Stop for the Los Angeles Angels. Blah, blah, blah.
