A Daily Scoop of Chaos Award

Jules from Trying to Get Over the Rainbow has bestowed this honor on me and I want to thank her!  ;D  Jules is AWESOME! I loved her Awareness post about refining our language skills! It was right on TARGET!!!! You should check her out!  ;D

In order for me to accept this award, I need to answer the following questions and pass it on to eight bloggers.

What is your signature color?
I would have to say BURGUNDY!!  It is regal!! I have always loved it!
So I searched and found this at Old-Earth.com and it made me laugh... It kind of fits!  ;p

The Burgundy Personality:
Burgundy people can sometimes feel bullied. They become so fearful of being bullied that they perceive attacks from everywhere, real or imagined. Therefore, they are always vigilant and on guard. The Color of blood and the heat of battle, Burgundy is the warrior's color.
The person wearing Burgundy might be feeling like they need to take on the world. Be their ally, find out why their shield is up. It is always better to have such a one on your side. Burgundy people can be confrontational, put them to work for you and they will certainly blaze a trail. Just be sure of their allegiance and ask their opinion frequently.
Wear Burgundy when you want to send an energetic "don't tread on me- I'm on a mission" message.

What is your most embarrassing moment?
Oh wow... which one?? There was the time I was running the 440 in a track meet in the 9th grade when I was in second place and almost at the finish... pushing harder... just a little harder... and BLACKNESS enveloped me. Next thing I knew, I looked up and there was my coach and teammates all crowded around looking down. Yeah... I didn't even get to the finish line first... It was about 10 yards away! I wanted to close my eyes again and DIE!!
THEN, when I was a majorette in 11th grade, twirling the fire baton in one of the numbers in a marching band competition, I paused just a second too long and singed my arm hairs all the way up my arm. Didn't really HURT, just startled me. I was able to complete the performance without anyone noticing. However, the stink (have you ever smelled burnt hair??? BLEH!) was bad and couldn't be masked... no one wanted to ride on the bus with me going home... *sigh*
When I was pregnant with Stitch-Kid, I was writing the check at the checkout in the grocery store, got light headed and dropped. When I came to, Country Gal was explaining to everyone how I was pregnant so I didn't feel too good. (She was 7) I stood up and ran to the bathroom to throw up before I could complete the transaction. I'm glad it wasn't real busy that day... Country Gal still laughs about that!  ;p

Would you ever get anything pierced other than your ears. If so, what?

Are you a social butterfly or a homebody?

I'm a homebody but can be sociable in the right moods... Oh, WHAT?? Rambling isn't being sociable?? Fine!  Let's just say, when I'm in the right frame of mind and in the right setting, I can be. Online? ABSOLUTELY! HAH!!  ;p

Are you done having babies or do you want more?

Hmmm... let's see, hubby had 6 when we married, I had 3, and we had ANOTHER... for good measure and total cohesion!! Yeah!! WE'RE DONE!!! I think a hysterectomy pretty much guarantees it, too.  ;D

Are you loyal to your hairstylist or do you try every salon in town?

You mean for my trim and thin once or twice a year??? Not really. I just go where can get me in on the rare occasion that I get the notion to DO it...

How many times have you moved in your life?
31 that I can remember... Check out my "Lifetime of Moving" post for the details. LOL!!

If you could plan your vacation with just you and your love where would it be?

We have a list and he likes to peck away at it... Next is maybe a Carribean Cruise!

Passing along some LOVE now...
And the award goes to.....

I would never consider burgandy for my color, even though I love it!

Oh, and I did get your comment about the award. You are so, so sweet. I don't pas them along, for various reasons, but I truly appreciate every single one.

haha - I have to tell you that as I was reading through and saw "Hubby had six when we married" I had to read it THREE times before I didn't see "Hubby WAS six when we married"... glad I was wrong :)

Um, okay, can I just say, "OH MY HELL, THE STORY ABOUT YOU PASSING OUT WHILE WRITING A CHECK IS THE FUNNIEST THING I'VE HEARD IN AGES!" Okay, I said it. And thanks for the blogger award. You rock, majestic burgundy chick!

Holly said...

Jules: Glad to have Affectively written that... LOL!!
Kristina: I use burgundy for decorating, backgrounds, my car... When faced with a color choice, I am always drawn to it. It's the only color I could think of... I didn't look it up until after and it made me laugh! There are things people should never admit in public about themselves... but BLOGDOM is a whole new ball game! Right?? LOL!
I kind of knew you probably get a million awards a week and would never be able to have a job or keep up with your bazillion comments a day if you played along with ANY... Because... you know... you ARE a BLOGGER ROCK STAR and all... However, to the few that come here and haven't been turned on to the regular dose of enlightenment you bring us, I HAD to include you in the awarding!! Besides, what BETTER one than "A Daily Scoop of Chaos"?? OK, maybe not DAILY... but there's enough content to keep us all hanging on till the next one! ;) (((HUGS)))
T: WOW!! That would have reversed our age difference in a VERY disturbing way!! LOL!! There are some things fellow bloggers should NEVER be supportive of... I would think marrying a 6 yr old would be one of them! HAH!!
Lisa: OMG!!! I remember it all and how everything happened in slow motion!! I'll bet if it had happened to you, the story would have come out so much MORE entertaining!! You have such a FLAIR to your tales that are so endearing to your readers/friends!! I should take lessons... But, that is your voice and I could never pull it off. So I will be thoroughly entertained be each of YOUR posts!! You ARE AWESOMENESS to the 4th POWER!! ;D

I deserve no less than 300 lashings for my ridiculously delayed response. I am soooooooo sorry!! I saw this last week and just keep forgetting to take the time to do something about it. Please, please, please don't hate me or banish me from future awards because I LOVE THEM!! You are awesome.
