Thrillionaires Clip from Mindy's Concert and Photo Hops

For those of you that missed Mindy Gledhill's concert,
here is a clip of the Thrillionaires doing an
improv dance to Mindy singing Crazy Love
The little girl laughing cracks me up!!  LOL!!

ShutterLoveTuesdays

This week's theme is VACATIONS!!
Hmmm.... SO MANY to choose from!
I get a little trigger happy, ya' know!
I'm going to enter this one of my youngest
when we were in Mexico this past February
because I LOVE his EYES, the colors of the market
behind him, and the depth of field!
OF COURSE we bought the hat!!  ;D
Hope you like it, too!

Last week's theme was weddings and this is the image I entered. I love it and it was #7 in the top 10!! WOOHOO!! Happy day!!  Thanks to all who liked it!  ((HUGS))

This week's theme: SURPRISE!!
This was the perfect shot because 3 of our adult kids
were posing for this pic when
"Smiley" poked "Whimsy" and "Artsy".
It was PERFECT!!
LOVE their reaction and the timing of catching it!  ;D

Sweet Shot Day

Theme: On the Road

This was on I-15 coming back to UT from Rexburg, ID
after our grandson's baby blessing. The snow
blowing across the pavement so heavily was eerie!

Photobucket
Theme: SUMMER
One of the MANY FUN shots we've taken!!
I chose this one for the many elements of SUMMER FUN in it... There is the obvious pool/water, the water-slide going into it, the child (grandson) toppling into the water from the slide, hubby racing 2 adult children ("Heart-breaker" & "Happy"), blue sky, green grass, and the wagon in the background. I love the vibrant colors!

I used:
  • Camera: Canon EOS 7D
  • ISO: 100
  • F: 5.6
  • Focal Length: 35mm
  • Shutter Speed: 1/1000
  • Processing: PS-CS3
...and WHAT says SUMMER like a fruit covered cake?

ANYWAY... this is the cake I made a few days ago.
I got the recipe from Amy at The Family Trifecta
I like her picture better, but she did it the way it was supposed to be. I did it with 2 - 12" square layers and had it on tin foil covered cardboard. So it wasn't NEAR as PRETTY as hers... But it was OH SO YUMMY and comes highly recommended!! My youngest thinks I should ALWAYS have it ready for him to eat.
Thanks AGAIN, Amy!!
BTW: This is CHOCOLATE, you know, the OTHER vitamin C!! It has seedless raspberry jam between the layers, chocolate ganache all over it, White chocolate shredded on it, raspberries and blackberries!! MMMmmmm.... And to top it off, you can add some whipped cream!
(Makes you want to go make it... eh??
**********
Is it cheating if I left the color in their eyes??

All great shots! I especially love your "on the road" capture - what an incredible shot. Sometimes when I see a picture like that I want to see the original to k now how much processing went into it. It's just so pretty.

I don't know which one is for WW this week, but I've enjoyed perusing. Is the 7D more advanced than the 5D? I just got the 50D and am more than happy with it. But you've got some great shots here. I'd love some lessons. Too bad you live so far away. Haha.

Alicia: Thanks for stopping by! I have my "Before/Afer" post ready to post at midnight!! ;D
The Mexican hat one is the 7D
The pool and cake ones are either the 7D or 40D (Use them both frequently so it was whichever was close at hand. LOL!)
The couple on the bottom and the 3 by the fence were the 40D
The road and wedding shots were with the 30D

I was in heavy debate over getting the 50D or the 7D when I was upgrading. The cost wasn't that much more for the 7D and I knew that's the one I'd be wishing I'd gotten if I didn't, so I WENT FOR IT!! I DO love it, but I still use my 40D frequently.

The 5D is still more expensive and is full frame. The 7D is in the same series, but the FULL frame is supposedly SO MUCH BETTER??? In comparison, I would definitely pay less for my 7D with similar features and higher resolution. I think I heard they were upping the res on that one, but I still don't see enough of a benefit to go that much higher $$.
Thanks for the compliments and I am following everybody back! ;D
Lisa: SEE HOW much FUN we would have HAD!! I about busted a gut when the big guy jumped up to the other one!! BAHAHAHA!!
Ashley: I'm honored!! I'll include that with a before/after next time! ;D
Krista: I e-mailed you. ;D

What a great I Heart Faces shot! But darn it.. I think the rules say that there can only be one photo in your post in order for it to be eligible to win. Your kids look like they really love each other... job well done!

Thanks for stopping by and the notice. I wonder how that works, because it doesn't say only one for your post, only one entered for I <3 faces... and there is only one for their entry. I try to combine things for a day so I don't have so many notices going out to my followers. Some people get annoyed at that. So I hope they can understand which one is for them. I tried to make it clear. We'll see. ;D
