". . . our stories are what make the difference, and if we can tell them honestly we can hope to help each other. In the end, we have nothing to offer each other but our stories." ~ Emma Lou Thayne

AWESOME: Perpetuum Jazzile - AFRICA

I was BLOWN AWAY with the

Perpetuum Jazzile

And their performance of

NO instruments other than their voices and bodies!
You will be BLOWN AWAY!!
(Thank you Kristi for introducing me to them!)
Psst!! Turn your speakers up at the beginning to get the full effect!

The Prompts:
1.) Choose a word that encompasses 2010 and describe why. What word will you choose as your theme for 2011?

2.) If the way you spent your New Year’s Eve is any indication of how the rest of the year will go, how would you say your future is looking right about now?

3.) Drunk.

4.) What happened in 2010 that you’d rather not repeat?

5.) Read and Respond: “If you want to make your dreams come true, the first thing you have to do is wake up.” ~J.M. Power

In case you didn't already guess,
I chose #1
and my word is for 2010:
because I had SO MANY of them!! UGH!
SURPRISE!! For 2011 it's
I am playing along with  Jeanette
Who has made it...
So I am trying to FOCUS on a minimum of TWO AWESOME things to post EVERY WEEK!! This will be good for me! I’ve ALWAYS overused this word, so it was only natural that I should make it my project and WORD for 2011!
Above I shared this week's first AWESOME!
On My New Year post there was an adorably
AWESOME video clip if you're interested.
NOW I have AWESOME #2!!
I thought my Christmas was already DONE…
I admit to being a bit spoiled this year...
I was talking to a daughter (from another mother...) on Thanksgiving about her mother’s stainless steel 3 qt pot from 1968 being the best one I have. I’ve never had a NICE QUALITY SET… much less one that MATCHES…
We DO KNOW how important MATCHING IS! Right?
Hubby surprised me with this AWESOME set Christmas morning and I was thoroughly surprised and EXCITED!! WOW!! What a difference good TOOLS for cooking make!! LOVE IT!!
Definitely AWESOME!
If you'd like to join in on this AWESOME PROJECT for 2011, you can link in on this post and she will put a list of participants in her sidebar!  ;D

2011 is definitely the Year of Awesome.

And those pots are pretty.

Love your new pots. They really do make such a huge difference.

Migraines suck. I'm a sufferer too. What are you doing for yours? My cousin had her heart checked and found out she had a hole in her heart. Since she got it repaired, her migraines have been WAY better (not perfect, but better). I had mine checked and my heart isn't the source of mine.

Good luck not having that be the second word of 2011.

You are AWESOME! This post is AWESOME! But getting pots and pans for Christmas, Holly my darling, that is not awesome...ok, maybe you are a great cook. I hide from the kitchen if I can...but I still think you're AWESOME, I really really do, and I especially think it's awesome that you are writing about two awesome things a week! Way to keep us smiling and in a good mood!

I had seen the "musical" number before. Totally amazing!
I love your word.

I need to get me one.

Visiting from Mama Kat, and wanted to say that thinking about "awesome" makes so much sense, finding something that excites you in each day so as to keep positive and keep moving forward, even if it's just that it is awesome to take another breath of life. Awesome as including "awe" always struck me as interesting. Happy 2011 to you
