Pitiful and Petty for Date Night... ;p

My date night this week... Friday night in fact... TONIGHT for me since I'm still UP... We went to SLC for a meeting with President Dieter F. Uchtdorf for CES employees and retirees. We had decided to go early and eat at The Lion House before… We first walked to the Lion House which was CLOSED for “historical renovation”! UGH!! Next choice, The Garden(The Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo is to DIE for, by the way… just imagine this description:  "Grilled Chicken, Prosciutto, Sautéed Button Mushrooms, and Diced Tomatoes tossed in a Creamy Roasted Garlic Alfredo Sauce"... MMMmmmm...) ANYWAY, I wore heels and there was a LOT of walking to do... MISTAKE!! So as I'm continuously making him slow down and eventually take the shoes off to ruin my pantyhose over the frozen cement, I comment to him that "doesn't he wish he'd have chosen XXX instead of me..." He laughed and said, "NO WAY!"

This woman was INTERESTING… LOL!! After Hubby's first wife had passed due to brain cancer it took him a bit to think to date... He NEVER ASKED her out anywhere… Anytime they’d gone anywhere, it was because she called him and had somewhere to go and didn’t want to go alone… would he please be her +1? She invited him to a wedding and apparently had been telling people they were engaged because some people shook his hand, hugged her, and said how HAPPY they were for them!  ??? After this, when she called he was BUSY...

When she heard that he and I were engaged, she wanted to "TALK" at to him and proceeded to tell him how hurt she was that he LED HER ON... BAHAHAHAHA!!!

Well… (it gets BETTER…) we went to the meeting (It was AWESOME and I’ll probably talk more about it tomorrow!) and afterwards there was a social where there was a buffet...  As we were herded like cattle into this conference area... LO and BEHOLD... there SHE WAS as one of the USHERS!!! OMG!!! OF COURSE she had to run right over to him and tell him how HAPPY she was to see him!! She ignored me... LOL!! I was FINE with that… Yeah… He’s MINE!!  ;p Of COURSE I teased him about it the rest of the night! HAH!! OH… and whined about my feet hurting… *sigh* WHAT did you EXPECT??  ;D

OK. So I guess I’m a little petty… In spite of the blister on the ball AND heels of my feet, I’m glad he chose me, too! I thought it kind of ironic that I had JUST brought her up right before the meeting… HEHE! …and I was a bit AMUSED!  ;p

PS: This might GROSS you out… (it does ME...) BUT I made a discovery, too!! If you walk in dress shoes and get blisters on your heels... then your DOG thinks he should LICK them when you don't see it coming... it STINGS!!! Gross factor aside.... EEEWWWWWwwwww.... ;p  Going to wash my heels NOW!!
(((HUGS)))

Oh yeah... since he's MINE...
and I'm BAD/PETTY...
I consider this
AWESOME!!  ;p

Cute story! I tease my hubby too about people like that every once in awhile. One of them is a friend of mine on Facebook. I leave it alone because it drives him nut :)!

No dog but a cat and he's never done anything like that.

So is she married now? Probably not, I am guessing. Drama at the The Garden. That should be the name of the next Mormon Movie.

Can I just say how AWESOME it is to be the one they chose? Ster's X (I lovingly nicknamed "The Wench) came through our wedding reception line, hugged him, ignored me and went home empty handed. See, when he took the ring back from her, she said, "I expect to see this again." You have no idea how hard it was for me to resist showing her my diamond and saying, "You said you expected to see this again~well, here it is!" Even though it was in a different setting, it was originally the diamond he bought for her. But on my hand. (Until he traded it in for a bigger one. :))

Good for us...the ones they chose!

I used to know someone just like that lady. Cuh-razy!

I want alfredo sauce now. Like, right now. I don't care if it's 11 at night.
